In Sitka I was the director of a non profit working with seniors and individuals with disabilities in a center for independent living. I also cooked and waitresses at an incredible bistro during the summers. I grew up on boats and have a love of the ocean that has led to my interest in sailing and freediving.
For a year and a half (2018–2020) I cycled around the world with my partner at the time, starting in New Zealand and ending in South America. In mid January 2020 we began work on a 44ft catamaran intended to complete a circumnavigation starting in Panama. Due to Covid, we were forced to pause the trip in French Polynesia but continued work on a 66ft Gunboat to return to the U.S. via Hawaii. We helped navigate the Gunboat back to San Francisco, throughout Alaska, and down the Inside Passage of the Pacific Northwest back to California until the fall of 2021.
Since then, I have lived and worked in Mexico, Florida, and now NYC as a bartender, chef, art/film production assistant, and community care aid.
I have lived on boats and in tiny homes and am used to being tidy in small places. I love food, cooking, playing music, doing acrobatics, cycling, sharing stories, and learning about different cultures. I have a lot of background experiences which has enabled me to stay open minded and adaptive.
