Dear Shipmates

Introduction

Currently in Southern Mexico and will begin working north up the coast of Mexico towards La Paz. Crew is expected to be capable and assist with boat handling, navigation, cooking, standing watch and maintenance tasks.

About the boat, the plans, and current crew

usually cleancomfortablevery safevessel is survey certifiedshare experiencevisit remote placesseek adventureface challenges

The yacht is fairly large (65 ft) and heavy (40 tons). She is a fiberglass Cutter rigged monohull. Stable and seaworthy. Points reasonably well but sails best on a beam reach and in most situations, is best handled by three people. Therefore you should be capable, self sufficient, confident in abilities and enjoy challenges. We intend to depart Chiapas Mexico early December and sail to La Paz with several stops along the route. Intend to arrive La Paz by early January 2023. Intent to sail in the Sea of Cortez until late February and then depart for French Polynesia.

Crew is expected to be a full participating member. This includes standing watch, assist with anchoring, docking, sail trimming, meal prep and clean up and boat maintenance. Crew will have separate berth in forward cabin and will be expected to keep personal area clean. While your privacy will be respected, it is a boat and access to your cabin is required as there is storage in your berth along with critical systems (i.e - watermaker, thru hulls, valves). The ships sails and running rigging are large and heavy which requires crew be fit and capable. Costs to maintain and operate the boat will be handled by owner. Crew is expected to cover their own expenses including transportation to/from the boat and any personal costs including Visa's, immunizations, and shore excursions.
