*Crossing the Atlantic in november, and will disembark in Grenada mid December, looking for a boat to explore the Caribbean*
I am a 34 year old Danish woman, longing for slow, and minimal living once again, and especially on the sea - which I love. I have traveled a lot before - solo, open end-traveling, moving slow, living day by day, connecting with people and cultures.
I’ve always loved the water, and being at sea brings me so much joy! I have spent 3 months as crew on a catamaran in the South Pacific, sailing from Fiji to New Zealand, via Vanuatu and New Caledonia. I did watch keeping, navigation, provisioning, cooking, cleaning, etc.
While living in Copenhagen I’ve done a 2 year sailing course at a sailing school, where we sail in 25feet gaff rigged half-decked old wooden boats. During winters we’ve had courses in navigation, weather, ropes etc. I got my sailing license last summer. I also share a small (29feet) sailboat with 5 other people; a great community, where I am learning lots about maintaining and sailing a boat.
Besides sailing I’m into kayaking (I have an IPP2 license), camping and photography. I am a graphic designer by profession. I’m currently living in a collective (shared apartment) with 5 other people."
I am not afraid to get my hands dirty, I am good at following instructions and I am a fast learner. I am clean and tidy and very organized. On your boat I can contribute with lots of smiles and a cheerful mind. You‘ll get a crew member who is open-minded, full of positive energy, helpful and caring.
If I sound like a good match for your sailing trip, please get in touch! :)
