Dear Shipmates

Introduction

Currently in Tracys Landing working on the yacht to get her ready for the Pacific. Enjoying all that destinations have to offer both on land and sea. I am a delivery skipper with a YachtMaster Oceans. My vessel is my pride and joy. It must be respected at all times. Hallberg Rassys are a very comfortable blue water boats. Looking for someone that wants sail from on passages from Islands to islands and no specific constraints. The cost of food, except personal stores will be shared. This is also a fishing expedition to find crew for future westward through to and including the Pacific.

About the boat, the plans, and current crew

Purchased in 2013 it has underwent many core upgrades and changes for both what I wanted and safety. Basically a push button boat where crew is not required to trim sails or plot courses, but rather crew is needed for watch keeping, maintenance and keeping her ship shape. This vessel never sees shore shoes or hard suit cases with wheels. If it has wheels, it will be left on the dock. I believe that it’s safer and more enjoyable to have more crew for longer passages but this is an island hopper kind of passage. Not an endurance contest. Pace of life is mellow and enjoyable.

Looking to find someone with a positive attitude. The trip is from Marsh Harbor in the Bahamas to the Chesapeake. It’s a big boat and with a little care it will keep sailing well for years to come. I will teach what I can and need from a crew member to enjoy this journey. The vessel has a front and a back cabin arrangement. The crew will enjoy the front v berth or bunk room with a shower and head. Looking for a good time as we only get to live once.
