About the boat, the plans, and current crew
comfortablevery safeusually single handed
The yacht was a commercial fishing vessel built on Scotland in 1911 and fished by the same family into the mid 1970s. She was brought to the USA in the 1980s and completely rebuilt as a yacht. She is wide, heavy and very safe. She has been kept as original as possible (e.g. no halyard winches) so sailing her is a step back to another age.
She is currently in Chicago, but I plan to move her through the great lakes, Erie canal and down the Hudson river to Long Island Sound.
