I am an experienced long distance sailor. Looking for long sailing passages/deliveries: Indian Ocean, SE Asia, South Africa and elsewhere. Also in the Arctic, Antarctica and subpolar regions.
I have logged 30,000+ nautical miles, a good portion of that in the Arctic (Spitsbergen, Iceland, Greenland, across North Sea etc), also across Atlantic, Pacific, Caribbean, and made it almost all the way around the world. Competed in Sydney to Hobart 2017, 2019, 2022 and 2023.
I have sailed both monohulls and multihulls, from 27 to 72 ft. I am experienced, prepared and kitted for both polar sailing and long distance sailing. Normally, I can get off work and join a sailing trip during anything from 1 week to 3 weeks, a maximum of 4 weeks if it's a long offshore leg. I prefer long distances to day sailing.
If you are looking for crew that is both reliable, hard-working, and positive, then I can commit. I'm a mentally and physically strong person, adventure-loving, and responsible. I hold the following certifications: Offshore Yachtmaster, Yachtsman category III, Medical Care, TECC, VHF/SRC, CEVNI. I have sailed as a skipper (crew of highest 7, usually 2, and a bit of single-handing), and as 2IC/first mate/watch captain (crews from 2 to 14). I work as a firefighter, instruct CPR and First Aid, enjoy cooking, fishing, photographing. I am comfortable standing long watches both night and day, never get seasick, comfortable sailing short-handed. No drugs or smoking. No drinking while at sea. Fluent in English, Swedish, Norwegian and speak several other languages. 40 yrs old, female.
Looking forward to getting in touch! Have a safe sailing trip until then.
