I am a professional captain with IYT Master of Yacht 200 tons Limited Sail and Power commercial license (USCG Captain's license equivalent and MCA approved) looking for worldwide opportunities to sail and manage a yacht for private or charter use. I have a passion for sailing and have spent the last 5 years as solo captain running a private sailing yacht (Nautor Swan 56), cruising New England and the Caribbean and delivering her from Saint Martin to Newport RI each year. Prior to that I helped deliver a Challenge 67' Expedition sloop from Gibraltar to Uruguay crossing the ITCZ, equator and force 10 storm covering 7,200 NM in 50 days. I have also worked 6 month as first mate on a 110' custom sailing ketch, delivering her from Las Palmas (Canari islands) to Barbados, cruising the Caribbean from the Grenada to USVI and loading her on a transport ship to Genoa Italy, where I spend the next 4 weeks preparing her for the Mediterranean season. I have recently crewed on several regattas (Heineken St Martin, STIR St Thomas, NYYC Newport, Candy Store cup super yacht regatta) on large yachts (Swan 48, RP60, Perini Navi 183).
A Mechanical Engineer, I am competent with different types of maintenance, repairs and service. I also love eating and cooking and have cooked for crew and owner's, including while underway.
I love water sports and am PADI advanced certified, have advanced first aid, CPR and AED training.
