This path of life started in an office. Previously I worked as a specialist in Epilepsy research, publishing yearly and attending conferences. Needing an outlet I began sailing on nights and weekends at my local yacht club. Then I began working with a sailing non-profit, The International Rescue Group (IRG). Through that experience I gained much knowledge on how to refit donated boats and make them sea-worthy. Through word of mouth I started to receive offers to deliver boats and I have only grown to love the lifestyle more.

My motivation and reasons to crew on a boat

I have fallen in love both with the ocean and sailing. I am experienced and knowledgeable with passage planning, navigation equipment, engine work, standard boat work such as wood and fiberglass repair, electrical, plumbing, etc. I am currently studying for my USCG 100 ton license and would like to find a full-time paid position on a vessel.
