Just upsized to this Cabot 36 and I took possession end of January 2018.The Cabots are a Brewer design and built in Canada to take the Atlantic conditions. The skipper is an ancient mariner fit enough to sail most boats and still a fair way off his use-by date - still has all his original parts in good working order, definitely not needing an onboard nurse. He never yells at the crew and is always happy to exchange sailing knowledge. I insist no drugs, but a companionable glass of wine and some tall tales in the cockpit after the days run are always welcome.
We sailed her two up in the Sail Malaysia Rally in early April from Langkawi 6000 miles back to Hervey Bay by way of Borneo Sulawesi, Raja Ampat, Tual, Gove and down the east coast of Qld. Got back in mid January. After 9 months at sea I gave her some repairs and upgrades, (finished early September after I got back from Thailand) and now I will be looking for crew to sail her next year - or for shorter trips this year.
