Hello Skippers,
I'm Lilly, a German based in London. In recent years I have felt a strong pull towards all things boat and water, even though I'm a rookie. My granddad used to have boats and perhaps that is why anytime I'm at a marina or on a boat, I feel very much at home.
I'm looking into getting my day skipper qualification in the medium term and in the meantime would love to spend some more hours on the water, helping someone out as best I can.

I'm most likely one of the most relaxed (yet industrious) Germans you'll meet, and I even crack the odd joke! I am as happy chatting all day as I am reading a book or just staring at the sky. I can stay afloat for a long time when swimming, but don't expect me to fetch something from the coast a mile away ;)
My private life here in London revolves around motorcycles, bicycles and friends. I've driven two rallies (one from France to Jordan) and enjoy anything to do with wheels, or perhaps it is locomotion in general, given I like boats?

My granddad used to have boats. When I was 16, I spent a week on the Dutch IJsselmeer sailing on a Klipper with my classmates, and I loved it to bits. I then spent five days on a catamaran in Croatia two years ago and a day on a motor yacht this year.
I have a few friends who like sailing and in the short or medium term I'm looking to obtain my day skipper or even coastal skipper qualification so we can go out on cruises.
Several boats have tried hard to get me seasick, but collectively failed so far.
