Hello All,
I am a 38 year old strong, competent, well traveled man looking to gain more sea time and experience. At 18, I went to sea as a cook on board a live-a-board dive ship. I worked on that ship for 6 months. After attending college for two years, i went to work on two different Tall Ships. Here I learned all the traditional "marlin spike" sailing skills and rope work. I worked as an O.S. on one and as Bosun and Designated Engineer on the other. I spent about 8 months total on both. I have also worked as mate on board a charter fishing/dive boat. I have been involved with múltiple deliveries, I have done a couple of ocean passages from the north east down to the Caribbean, I have been down the ICW three times, I have sailed from France to Gibraltar on a 44' catamaran and from Panama to Aruba on a 40' catamaran as well as captained a small catamaran from NC to gulf side of Florida. Last winter I worked a delivery from Mass to Bermuda then down to Tortola as well as island hopped from Grenada to St. Martin. This year a quick ny-fl trip on a 44' cat. I have also sailed and motored my own 29 foot sloop from NJ to Key West. I currently own and operate a 65 boat marina in south jersey that is seasonal. . I am a outboard mechanic certified and trained in nissan/tohatsu and am well versed in all gasoline engines (Atomic 4!!) and knowledgable and skilled at most repairs that will come up. I am a 6' well educated, athletic male. I am a hard worker and excell in group settings. I have my six pack licence as well as my 100 ton masters ticket. I also have my USCG A.B. license and STCW95. I work well under pressure and am an asset in any situation. I am very mechanichally inclined and well versed in most electrical and plumbing systems. I have my firefighter 1 certificate and am trained in first aid. I am also a certified outboard engine mechanic and have done some inboard work as well.

I love surfing, hiking and furniture building. I also enjoy diving (padi certified) and fishing. I currently run my own business, so my schedule is flexible. I am looking to get out of the shop a bit and I am looking to do some deliveries, short term work (1-4 months) or any interesting refits or repairs.

I can stand a watch and hold a course. I can cook and I know how to get along with my shipmates even in tight quarters. I am also an exceptional boat dish doer!!! Clean dishes with minimal amount of water. I have also rented two bareboat cats and cruised around the bvis and the grenadines each for a week at a time with friends. Good times!
