I am also A NAUI Technical SCUBA instructor with over 5,000 dives, and a former U.S. Marine with meticulous attention to detail and security. STCW-95 certified, non-smoker, in excellent health. Single and can travel internationally at a moment’s notice.

My background in the hospitality industry gives me the unique ability to oversee all of the various aspects of running what is essentially a floating 5 star hotel. We are in the pleasure boating business, with the emphasis on PLEASURE!

My background in the hospitality industry gives me the unique ability to oversee all of the various aspects of running what is essentially a floating 5 star hotel. We are in the pleasure boating business, with the emphasis on PLEASURE!

As I consider myself a very “hands-on” Captain, I prefer vessels with 6 or less permanent crew. I feel this allows us to be a closer, more cohesive unit and for all of us to be cross-trained in the various aspects of making sure our guests have the absolute best experience we can provide each and every time we embark. Obviously there are times when additional crew may be needed for heavy charter or owner trips.

Additionally, my experience with Detroit, Caterpillar, and Cummins diesels allows me to step in as Engineer, or to back up an existing Engineer as needed. I am also very comfortable with electrical and plumbing systems on both American and Italian built yachts with some experience on Asian built vessels as well.
