I'm very passionate about my life at sea, as said in the introduction I've spent most of my life on the water between sailing and powerboating with my grandfather as a child, narrow boating on inland waterways, canoeing and kayaking through my teens and finally choosing a life at sea as a career.
You will find me to be polite and professional with a very good knowledge base built from a well rounded education both domestic and maritime. I'm a safety conscious worker and very used to working with and leading teams. My experience is based on multiple vessels I've worked as fist mate and skipper on small sailing yachts and catamarans, as an apprentice Officer on a Multi-function Tender, Stena line Ferry, Small Cruise ship and an LNG Gas tanker. Though I liked my time in the merchant fleet I went to yachting after meeting my now wife, we worked in private yachting for some big family names looking after vessels in the <30m range. When we decided to have children we settled back in the UK and I took on inland waterway positions, working as a barge Captain on the River Trent and the River Severn including the G&S Canal.
Now my family has grown I'm now the father to 3 boys my focus is to continue to grow my skills and qualifications in order to provide for my family and carry on to enjoy a career I love.
I have a wise array of knowledge, experience and an ethos of safety and hard work that I can bring to your Company /Vessel.
